Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) runs March 27 through April 30
Chico State will be administering the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) to all instructional staff this Spring 2018 semester. The FSSE is designed to complement the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), which we will be completing administration to our frosh and seniors at the end of this month. This instructional staff version (for faculty, instructors, and graduate students who teach) focuses on:
- instructional staff perceptions of how often students engage in different activities;
- the importance instructional staff place in various areas of learning and development;
- the nature and frequency of instructional staff-student interactions; and
- how instructional staff
organize their time, both in and out of the classroom.
The web-based survey will launch on Tuesday, March 27 when faculty will receive an e-mail invitation to take the FSSE from fsse@fsse.org containing a link to the survey. Three additional e-mail reminders will be sent via e-mail from fsse@fsse.org through Monday, April 16 to those who have not taken the survey. The survey closes Monday, April 30.
Every instructional staff who completes the FSSE survey will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win an iPad mini 4 Wi-Fi Space Grey, 64GB ($350 value) tablet courtesy of Follett/Chico State Wildcat Store. Note that there
Note: At any time, eligible faculty can go to www.fsse.org(opens in new window), click on Don’t know your Login ID, and enter their email address. FSSE will then auto-email individual login information to take the survey. This is helpful if you cannot seem to find emails from fsse@fsse.org ...
