A Minor in Italian Studies is offered at CSU, Chico. The Minor requires 8 units in lower-division language courses (Italian 201 & 202) and 12 in upper-division courses, six of which must be in courses taught in Italian. Some courses taken at programs abroad may be counted towards the minor. Please see the online schedule of courses for an updated list of available classes.
What Makes the Italian Minor Special?
CSU, Chico is now among the few Universities in America to offer Italian American studies. Topics include: the history and trends of Italian immigration, the struggle and success of Italian immigrants in different parts of the world and especially in the United States and California, the contributions Italian Americans made to all aspects of the American society.
