European Studies

Minor in European Studies

Europe is home to some of civilization's greatest achievements, but has also been witness to some of humanity's greatest calamities. Ironically, this historically conflicted region today hosts the European Union, an economic and political zone that encompasses well over 300 million people.

European Studies provides an interdisciplinary perspective on the history, politics, economics, philosophy, languages, and cultures of this important region.

Students are highly encouraged to take advantage of CSU, Chico Study Abroad opportunities in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
