Your Future in Media Criticism
The Media Arts, Design, and Technology Department offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts with an Option in Criticism.
Students in the Media Arts Criticism option gain a solid background in communication design theory, visual design practices, digital photography, and writing skills. The curriculum is designed to enhance a student's ability to think critically about media in all forms, to be able to design media solutions, and to work with media development applications.
Once students complete the core curriculum, they learn and practice the concepts of visual message design and apply it to real world projects involving computer graphics, digital photography and audio, web design, rich media design, television, and other emerging telecommunication forms. In addition, students are provided courses that enhance their understanding of project management and media law.
