Master of Science in Mathematics Education

General Overview

The Master of Science in Mathematics Education is a 30-unit summer start program that provides a unique opportunity for those interested in advancing their professional development by:

  • deepening and broadening their understanding of mathematics and mathematics education.
  • developing their understanding of mathematics education research and its relationship to practice.
  • developing their skills as teacher leaders in mathematics education.

Program Features:

  • Two-year cohort model. Working professionals who are part-time students typically take an extra semester or two.
  • Summer and online/hybrid classes to fit a teacher's schedule.
  • Financial aid, including the TEACH grant available for eligible students.
  • Graduates are qualified to teach at the community college level.

International Students:  This program does not meet student visa requirements for full-time enrollment status, thus we are unable to accept international students.
