International Student Math Placement

All new international undergraduate students must enroll in mathematics in their first semester unless they are exempt.  In order for us to place you in the appropriate mathematics course for Fall 2018, you need to complete the ALEKS Placement, Preparation and Learning (ALEKS PPL) assessment. This is a "Placement Assessment," not a test.

A Placement Assessment is designed to determine what a student knows and what a student needs to work on. After taking the assessment, ALEKS will provide students with a personalized learning path designed to strengthen their knowledge gaps in math.  Students will then have a chance to review topics that may have been forgotten or haven't been practiced for a while and then reassess.

The ALEKS PPL assessment is a free assessment that is available online 24 hours each day throughout the summer.
