Get Started With ALEKS PPL

Step 1: Starting May 7th, create your ALEKS account - check for eligibility FIRST - and complete the Initial Knowledge Check (un-proctored).

If you need accessibility or testing accommodations, do not set up an ALEKS account yet.  Go to Accessibility Resource Center.  Arrangements must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of taking the ALEKS Assessment.

Step 2: Complete at least three hours in the Prep and Learning Module, an individualized, self-paced online review.

Step 3: Once you have completed the learning modules and feel that you are ready, complete a proctored ALEKS assessment with our online proctoring service, ProctorU.

Tips For Success
  • Review the information on the Get to Know ALEKS page before you begin.
  • Aim to complete all three steps of ALEKS by June 15 if you are attending an early Orientation session.
  • Give yourself at least three business days before your orientation session to complete the proctored ALEKS assessment for your score to be available.
  • If you are not happy with your proctored results, try reviewing the modules and re-assess. After assessing a second time, review your score and proceed with the recommendation.
