The BA in Multicultural and Gender Studies provides an interdisciplinary approach to cultural analysis within and across cultural groups in the United States, with emphasis on the role of class, race, and gender in shaping cultural identities. The general option in Multicultural and Gender Studies includes work in the theory and practice of cultural analysis; cross-cultural and interethnic study; the study of the role of gender in culture; and close analysis of a particular ethnic group through courses in one of the MCGS minors.

The BA in Intersectional Chicanx & Latinx Studies provides an in depth and interdisciplinary analysis of United States Latinx communities in all their diversity, now comprising 17% of national population and almost 40% of California residents. Learn about the strong cultural/political heritage, leading social change, and serving the needs of Latinx people.
