Biography

Deserea Langley Ph.D.  (she/her) is an enrolled member of the Susanville Indian Rancheria. She is an Assistant Professor in Multicultural and Gender Studies with a focus on American Indian Studies.  Dr. Langley earned her Ph.D. in Native American Studies (NAS) from the University of California, Davis in 2021 and her master’s degree in NAS in 2016. Deserea is committed to working with Native American students and communities. She is passionate about promoting access and space for Native people and voices in higher education.

  • Federal Indian Policy
  • Native American Land Rematriation
  • Tribal Sovereignty
