Susan M. Green

Professor, Department of Multicultural and Gender Studies

Susan Green is Professor of Multicultural and Gender Studies, specializing in Chicanx and Latinx Studies, at California State University Chico. She did her studies in the Chicano Studies Department at the University of Minnesota, the oldest Chicano Studies Department in the Midwest. She spent a semester at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government studying Leadership and Organizing with Marshall Ganz. She has served as Chair of the National Association for Chicana and Chicano Studies (NACCS), and as a Board member of the California Faculty Association (CFA), and the California Teachers Association (CTA). She has received the NACCS Student Premio, the CTA Cesar Chávez Si Se Puede Human Rights Award, the CSU Chico Walk the Line Award, the Chico State Civically Engaged Scholar Award and received a commendation from the California State Senate in 2021 for her work.
