Louis Goldblatt Award for Social Change
I am extremely grateful for being awarded this year's Louis Goldblatt Award for Social Change. As a queer, first-generation person of color, I am very passionate about social justice and activism for everyone, including the LGBTQ+ community. Being recognized means so much to me as it reminds me why I strive for a community full of diversity and inclusion.
Without the mentors and professors that I have met throughout my time at Chico State, I would not be able to receive this award. Thank you to my nominators and mentors for believing in me and reminding me of why I do what I do.
