Performing Arts

As a student at CSU Chico, Jeremy was employed by the PAC Scene Shop, as well as University Public Events at Laxson Auditorium. After graduating from CSU, Chico with a B.A. in English and three minors, including one in Theater Arts, he accepted the job as Technical Director at the Blue Room Theater. While simultaneously working at the Blue Room, he began a career in radio in 2001, hosting nearly every air shift, working for all three radio clusters in Chico, and eventually becoming Production Director at Mapleton Communications and later Results Radio. He continues to hone his skills in audio production, sound reinforcement, and radio imaging to this day, with air shifts every Saturday and Sunday from 1p-6p on 106.7 Z-Rock.

Jeremy has kept busy over the years, performing in over sixty plays, including six musicals, and directing 12 productions. He loves performing, but his proudest moment was receiving Chico’s Annie Award for best play, “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” which he directed in 2004. He is also a produced playwright, as his script, Chemistry Killer, was selected as part of CSU, Chico’s Millennium Project of new works in 2000, he wrote the book for the original rock opera, Hollywood Outsider, produced at the Blue Room in 2002, and he has written for the Blue Room’s Fresh Ink Festival, as well as several of their late-night productions. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys playing the drums, growing beards for charity and walking his four rescue dogs.
