FAQ's for Students
Wildcat email
All email communication (class information, add/drops, advising, degree progress report, graduation, etc) go through your Wildcat email.
Things to include when sending requests: student ID#, course name, section and (Four-digit number), supporting documents.
Student Records & Registration requires all documentation to be submitted through your Wildcat Email account(@mail.csuchico.edu).
Standard procedures are being modified to accommodate a virtual semester. There will be a great deal of Wildcat email communication throughout the semester. Places to check for class information on a regular basis:
- Wildcat email (@mail.csuchico.edu), junk mail, trash bin
- If you use your personal email address (Live.com, hotmail, gmail, etc) you may be asked to re-submit documentations and approvals.
- platforms your instructor has chosen to use for your class
- This page will be updated throughout the semester.

- DOWNLOAD SAVE AS PDF or
- PRINT TO PDF
- File name: YOUR LAST NAME, FIRST NAME
- Save your PDF on your desktop, in downloads, or where it is convenient
- Email your PDF to your instructor or department advisor
- Double check your attachment before you hit SEND
- Notice after a certain date there may be a late fee
Synchronous vs Asynchronous
- Online Synchronous - Meet in real time at the scheduled meeting days and times.
- Online Asynchronous - No scheduled meeting days or times, but the student is responsible for completing course work; refer to syllabus.
- Reach out to the Student Learning Center for academic support.
