CSU, Chico Greeks raised $5,000 for local nonprofits, gathered more than 4,000 cans of food for the needy and held the largest blood drive in campus history during Greek Week Oct. 9 to 17.

Representatives from Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the Boys & Girls Clubs, the Gateway Science Museum, Handi-Riders, the Sunshine Connection, Blood Source and the Jesus Center are scheduled to attend the event.

Benefiting charitable groups was a big part of the 2010 Greek Week, which had the theme “Kids These Days.” Fraternities and sororities formed teams that competed in a wide range of philanthropic, athletic and creative activities.
