State Farm Insurance has made a $3,800 donation to the Gateway Science Museum to support its educational programs. Representatives from State Farm will present the check on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at the museum.

"State Farm is proud to support educational opportunities such as those provided by the Gateway Science Museum," said Agency Field Executive Erik Axtell. “The work done through the museum will help educate local students and the general public for generations to come.

State Farm’s donation will contribute to the museum’s mission to create a life-long learning environment that enables people to explore, interpret and celebrate the natural heritage of Northern California through science and education. This is the second year that State Farm has made a donation from their discretionary income funding program.

“The Gateway Science Museum is especially pleased to accept this generous donation from State Farm Insurance Companies,” said Rachel Teasdale, acting executive director of the museum. “Their continued support for our science and education programs will allow us to continue to offer a high-quality learning environment for our North State communities.”
