Cultural celebration and education will characterize California State University, Chico’s 30th annual Multicultural Night Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the Bell Memorial Union Auditorium.

The event is hosted by the Associated Students’ Multicultural Affairs Council.

Some of the planned activities of Multicultural Night include traditional Filipino, Hmong and Latin dances; hip-hop dance; and several monologues focusing on experiences of African Americans in Chico.

Rather than a talent show, Multicultural Night is a showcase of music, language, dance and poems that promote cultural education and appreciate cultures on campus and in the Chico community.

The event is free, and the public is invited to attend. For more information, contact Dani Anguiano, commissioner of multicultural affairs, asmulticultural@csuchico.edu, 898-5701.
