Gateway Science Museum Presents Third Annual Career Day March 10

California State University, Chico’s Gateway Science Museum will host its third annual career day for high school and university students interested in the life sciences on Monday, March 10, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Themed “Life Sciences at Work,” the event will allow students to hear from and ask questions of scientists in a variety of fields, including biology, botany, zoology, microbiology, physiology, bioscience and biochemistry. Other fields represented will include archeology, paleontology, ecology, medicine and geosciences.

In addition, admitted students will be eligible to enter a drawing to win one of several prizes, including high-quality headphones and a digital tablet.

When: Monday, March 10, 3:30-5 p.m.

Who: High school and university students interested in careers in life sciences

Location: Gateway Science Museum

Admission: Free and restricted to high school and university students with a student ID. Refreshments will be provided.

Gateway Science Museum was opened in 2010 to educate and inspire North State residents young and old. Located at 625 Esplanade in Chico, the museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Current exhibits include “Explore Evolution,” “SACRAMENT: Homage to a River” and “Changing California – Geological and Ecological Transformations.”
