Center for Entrepreneurship’s eWeek Features Expert Advice From Successful Entrepreneurs

The Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Business, California State University, Chico is hosting a series of events during the annual eWeek April 7-11, 2014.

Professor Peter Straus, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, said eWeek is devoted to speakers and activities about entrepreneurship. All special events are free and take place in Colusa 100A on the CSU, Chico campus.

For the first time since eWeek has been held, an entrepreneur-in-residence will be available to advise students. Gary Bright, who founded Kangaroo Kourts in Chico and started three other health clubs plus a nightclub in the North State, will consult with students in the Entrepreneurship center’s office, 221 Glenn Hall.

The keynote address will be Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m. Lance and Shelly Blanshei, co-owners and founders of the popular T. Tea Bar and Fusion Café in Chico, will speak on “How to Launch a Trend-Setting Business.”

Bizness Apps’ executives and CSU, Chico alumni Zach Cusimano, COO, and Stephen Heisserer, VP of Product Development, will speak Tuesday, April 8, 7 p.m., on “The Ins and Outs of Running a Successful Tech Startup.” This San Francisco-based technology company, with over 100,000 clients and 70 employees, was founded on the CSU, Chico campus three years ago by alumnus Andrew Gazdecki.
