NorCal ELC Hosts First Hybrid Event -- Our 4th Annual Summer Leadership Institute
Celebrating this year’s theme of Transformation, NorCal ELC’s Hybrid Summer Leadership Institute was deemed a success by all!
CHICO, CA – June 15, 2024 – NorCal ELC successfully hosted its 4th Annual Summer Leadership Institute, marking its inaugural hybrid event on June 13th and 14th, 2024, at California State University, Chico. The event brought together over 200 educators, with more than 100 attending in person.
This year’s institute, themed “Transformation,” delivered a dynamic and enriching experience for all participants. The agenda included a variety of interactive workshops, panel discussions, and collaborative sessions focusing on key areas such as educational equity, innovative teaching practices, and leadership development.
Highlights of the event included:
- Keynote Address by George Couros: The renowned speaker and author of TheInnovator's Mindset captivated the audience with insights on the role of innovation in education and the importance of fostering a growth mindset among educators and students.
- Workshops and Breakout Sessions: Attendees participated in hands-on workshops that covered topics like inclusive classroom strategies, and effective school leadership.
- Celebration of Team Improvement and Impact: The institute celebrated the achievements and progress of various educational teams, highlighting successful projects and initiatives that have made a positive impact on schools and communities.
Participants praised the event's comprehensive content and the opportunity to network with peers and experts. The hybrid format allowed for broader participation, enabling educators from different regions to join the conversations and share their experiences.
"We are thrilled with the success of this year's Summer Leadership Institute. It was a truly transformative experience that empowered educators with new knowledge and inspiration to bring back to their schools," said a spokesperson for NorCal ELC. "We look forward to continuing this journey of growth and transformation with our dedicated community of educators."
