MS in Mathematics Education



The mission of the Master of Science (M.S.) in Mathematics Education program is to provide an opportunity for secondary and post-secondary teachers to deepen and broaden their understanding of mathematical content, pedagogy, and educational research.

Goals & Objectives

  • MS1: Content
    The Master's program will deepen and broaden teachers' understanding of mathematical content.
  • MS2: Research
    The Master's program will develop teachers' understanding of mathematics education research in relationship to practice.
  • MS3: Leadership
    The Master's program will develop teachers' skills as teacher-leaders in mathematics education.
  • MS4: Equity
    The Master's program will develop teachers' abilities to address access and equity issues in the classroom.
