Temporary Virtual Services

Due to COVID-19, the College of Natural Sciences Student Success Center will be operating remotely until further notice. Academic advising will be delivered via phone, email, or online, during regular hours, Monday-Friday, 8AM – 5PM.

- Brief description of question
(If you would like an advisor to review your planned schedule for Fall 2020, please include your planned courses.)

We will connect with you as soon as we can. Depending on the nature of your question, you will receive a response via email or an invitation to a Zoom or phone appointment.

Our mission is to provide empowering educational opportunities to nurture student academic, professional, leadership, and social development. We do this by developing collaborative relationships with academic departments within our college, campus resources, and community partners to strengthen the students’ learning experience.

For the College of Natural Sciences Student Success Center, students come first! The Student Success Center is dedicated to maximizing your college experience. Our primary responsibilities include facilitating the transition from high school to college, assisting students with academic and personal advisement, building community within our college while nurturing a welcoming environment that provides students with a “home-away-from-home” experience, and connecting students to academic preparation programs, student leadership organizations, faculty, staff, campus and community resources, scholarships, career and professional development opportunities. 


The College of Natural Sciences believes academic advising is an essential part of student success. We are committed to delivering quality advising services to our students to assist them achieve their educational, career, and personal goals. We do this by nurturing a culture where students take responsibility by actively participating in the advising process, and by using a full range of institutional resources. Advising is delivered using a split advising model in which advising is carried out by a professional staff advisor in the College of Natural Sciences Student Success Center, and by faculty advisors in their departments. You are strongly encouraged to meet with your Faculty Advisor at least once per semester.
