NSE National organization logoThe National Student Exchange (NSE) consortium of four-year colleges and universities founded in 1968 is committed to providing educational opportunities to its students while supplementing academic resources of its members.

With a membership of nearly 200 institutions, NSE has served over 90,000 students during its 40 years of operation. It is your turn to Experience life from a different point of view! Where do you want to study next year? Choose your destination from 49 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands.

In addition, you have an opportunity to study French, as well as other subjects, at a Canadian institution of higher education. This is your opportunity to learn more about yourself as you experience the cultural mosaic of the United States.

Eligibility
Students are considered eligible if the following applies to them.
  • Successfully completed at least one semester at CSU, Chico
  • At least 30 units completed before the exchange begins.
  • At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA is required for the exchange.
Students are still able to apply if the following applies to them.
  • PEL (Planned Educational Leave) students may apply.
  • Second baccalaureate candidates are eligible to apply.
Students are considered ineligible if the following applies to them.
  • Currently enrolled at CSU, Chico as a Graduate Student.
  • Currently on probation at CSU, Chico.
