What is Kurzweil 3000?

Kurzweil 3000 is an inclusive technology, text-to-speech, learning tool that supports the concept of Universal Design for Learning with a collection of powerful reading, writing, test-taking, and study skill tools that makes content accessible and efficient to all students, staff, and faculty.

How do I get access to Kurzweil?

Kurzweil is available to all students, staff, and faculty and can be used for many purpose. If you are interested in using Kurzweil on any personal device, please visit the Kurzweil 3000 Box page(opens in new window) with installations for both Mac and Windows devices and instructions on how to install. 

If you are staff or faculty who are interested utilizing Kurzweil, use the "Type here to search" bar on your Windows device to access the Software Center. Within the Software Center, the Kurzweil 3000 Updater and Installation is available. Once this is complete, you will repeat the process and install the Kurzweill 3000 Windows SSO Authorizer. This will allow you to use your Chico State credentials to log into Kurzweil.
