New Student Orientation & Transition Programs

Alejandro

Senior Orientation Leader

Year - Senior

Major - Communication Studies

W-Wildcat Moment: My proudest moment has been winning my first medal in my Speech and Debate team and qualifying for the NFA (National Forensics Association).

I-Involvement: My involvement has been very limited as I am a transfer student, but so far, I am part of Summer Orientation, as well as the Speech and Debate team, Students of Communication Studies and just recently I am going to be a reporter for The Orion.

L-Live: I was born in Redwood City California, which is right near Palo Alto if you know the Bay Area, but I moved here when I was 7/8 yr old so I consider myself a Chiconian.

D-Degree: I am pursuing a degree in Communication Studies with the option in public affairs, and minoring in Journalism PR.

C-Chico: I love the campus and how “small” it feels, but also how “big” it feels as well. Chico is somewhat small but has a lot of activities to do.

A-Aspirations: I would love to work for a non-profit organization where I help prospering students achieve their dreams and create an environment that allows College to be more accessible nationwide.

T-Tell: I am a new cat owner and long-standing dog owner; their names are Max (dog) and Momo (cat) and they are best friends. I hope.
