Major - English

W-Wildcat Moment: As an individual that is overcoming social anxiety, delivering my Commencement Speech to thousands of people during the Graduation Ceremony has been one of my proudest moments as a Wildcat.

I-Involvement: During my time at Chico State, I have had the pleasure of representing the school as the Senator of the College of the Humanities and Fine Arts, a Student Ambassador to the English Department, and as a Student Coordinator for Orientation Programs. In addition, I have been able to help students as a Peer Mentor and Writing Tutor at our Student Services Center.

L-Live: As a child, I moved around often. However, I developed many of my ideals and morals during high school, where I resided in Long Beach, California.

D-Degree: I am currently pursuing a career in education, wanting to start as a high school English teacher and then eventually becoming a professor.

C-Chico: I chose Chico because I needed a new start at a school that had a prominent teaching and engineering program. Moving to a school far from the urban cities of Southern California introduced me to a new way of life along with challenging experiences that helped me grow.

A-Aspirations: Regardless of my career path, I want two things. Firstly, I want to be happy. Secondly, I want to continually better myself with every position and road that I take in the future.

T-Tell: Growing up, I did not have any mentors, just examples of what I did not want to be in the future. As a result, I am passionate about two things. I want to be the best person I can be, hopefully, molded by the good habits of those around me; secondly, I am passionate about my two dogs, Finn (5 years) and Stardestroyer “Goose” Brown (1 year).
