Maria de JesusYear - Graduate StudentMajor - M.A Applied/School PsychologyW-Wildcat Moment:My wildcat moment is being at Chico State. Since moving to the USA, I have dreamed of continuing my higher education, but various circumstances limited this. Finally, in 2023, I was accepted into the M.A. Applied/School Psychology program at Chico State, and now I am proud to be a part of it.I-Involvement: I am part of Sueños de las Estrellas Baile folclorico. Also, I am part of the Graduate Education Access & Opportunity (Great-Op) Program, a Global Ally volunteer, a volunteer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and this is my second semester with summer orientation.
L-Live:My hometown is called Los Tecomates, Jalisco, in Mexico, but I moved to Costa Mesa, California in 2017 and Chico in 2021.D-Degree:I am currently pursuing my M.A in Applied/School Psychology.C-Chico:I chose Chico State because it offers affordable education, supports numerous students, and boasts a beautiful campus full of flowers and trees. Additionally, my two brothers also attend Chico State.A-Aspirations:As a school psychologist, my goal is to offer assistance to students, families, and educators. I also strive to encourage more students to pursue advanced education. I find it fulfilling to connect with persons who require help or support and assist them in discovering solutions.T-Tell: My full name is Maria de Jesus; my dad named me after my great-grandma.
