Megan AmbrizYear - 3rd/JuniorMajor - Biological Sciences - EEOW-Wildcat Moment: My proudest moment at Chico State has probably been being a part of this Orientation Team! I was a very timid and reserved student when I first came to Chico in 2021 and would’ve never seen myself involved in programs like Summer O. Now looking back I can see how much I’ve grown and I’m very excited about all of the opportunities to come!I-Involvement: I am involved in Greek Life and am the current president of Lambda Theta Nu, Sorority Inc., as well as a Peer Mentor in the REACH program. I have also been a part of MEChA de Chico State, the First Year Leadership Opportunity Program, The Associated Students Social Justice and Equity Committee, Adelante, and the Student Senate for the College of Natural Sciences.L-Live: I am from Fontana, CA which is located in the Inland Empire of Southern California!D-Degree: I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with the option in Ecology, Evolutionary and Organismal Biology and a Minor in Sociology.C-Chico: I chose Chico because I loved how different it was from my hometown! Getting to see and feel the seasons change has been amazing. I also really loved the small community feel that Chico provided.A-Aspirations: First I want to graduate from Chico State! Then I plan to apply to pursue my Masters. My dream would be to work in animal/wildlife conservation and I’ve actually recently been looking into working in public policy, or even with different nonprofit rehabilitation programs!T-Tell: Even though my name is pretty short as it is, my friends still have a bunch of nicknames for me! Some of my favorites are: Megs, Meggy, Megatron, and The Meg.
