Transfer Checklist

Before Orientation:

  • Financial Aid-If you have applied for financial aid, be sure to view and accept, or decline, your award offer. In your Portal Account, enter your Student Center, scroll to Finances and click View Financial Aid. Questions, contact Financial Aid
  • Submit immunization records - Submit immunization records and complete their assessment in the patient portal. Additional information can be found here(opens in new window).
  • Set up Duo (Two-Factor Authentication)! You can learn how to set it up here.
  • Get your Wildcat ID Card! Your Wildcat ID Card can assist with local transportation, printing on campus, and some local businesses in Chico provide discounts if you show your student ID! To get your Wildcat ID card you MUST create a ticket and are REQUIRED to UPLOAD your photo at least ONE WEEK prior to your Summer Orientation Day (if attending Orientation in-person then you will receive it on your Orientation day. Virtual Orientation attendees you will be able to come into the Wildcat Office in Meriam Library 142 at the beginning of the Fall 2022 semester). Follow the instructions on the link here to request your ID cards.
  • COVID Vaccine Self Certification. To meet the CSU's COVID-19 vaccine requirement, Chico State has set-up a self-certification portal where students log-in and certify to 1) being fully vaccinated; 2) qualifying for a religious exemption; 3) qualifying for a medical exemption; or 4) not planning to access campus facilities at all. Visit, login, click on Student Center, select Student Records and it is under Covid 19 Vaccination.  All students must login, choose, and submit one of those four options.   • Submit final transcripts to Admissions. Log into your Student Center (go to the Chico State webpage, select portal, then Student Center). and check your To-Do list for any remaining items. Remaining check list items may prevent you from registering for classes during your session. Due by February 15, 2023!
  • Follow @chicostatesummero to connect with your classmates and stay current on the latest information!  
  • Please note: If you have outstanding coursework and/or units required needed to meet your admission requirements, you will not be able to register for classes at Orientation until your final grade(s) are submitted to Admissions.

After Orientation:

  • Pay your fees or have sufficient Pending Financial Aid by the fee payment due date. Learn more about fees, viewing your Student Center, and financial aid disbursements and refunds at Student Financial Services.
  • Visit the Wildcat Store website to order your textbooks.
  • Plan to attend Wildcat Welcome! 
  • Complete the online Alcohol Edu and Not Anymore programs. They will become available two weeks before the semester starts. (You can access the link through your Portal.)
  • Make the most of your college experience. Search over 200 campus clubs and organizations.
  • Classes begin Monday, January 23rd, 2023!
