Orientation & New Student Programs

Orientation for Spring Transfer Students

Orientation for spring 2019 transfer students was canceled due to the recent California wildfires. Campus has now reopened, and we are looking forward to welcoming you—our newest Wildcats—to campus!

Did you register and pay for the November 16 Spring Orientation?

You will receive a full refund. This will take 4–6 weeks to process—we thank you in advance for your patience.

Still interested in attending orientation?

  • All new students are invited to a free Express Orientation on Friday, December 7, in the Bell Memorial Union.
  • Pre-registration for this event is required.
  • This event is not open to parents/guests in order to accommodate as many new students as possible.
  • At Express Orientation, we will help you understand the course selection process, planning tools, and advising resources you need to register for classes once you have registration access.
  • Local lodging availability has been severely impacted by the recent wildfire. It is highly unlikely that area hotels and motels will have availability. Please plan your visit to Chico accordingly.
