Orientation & New Student Programs

First-Year Orientation Program

Enrolling in a university is one of life’s major steps, and we want to help you experience an enjoyable and smooth transition into college!

We strongly encourage you to attend a Summer Orientation session to introduce you to the Chico State community and to prepare you for your university career.

For the optimal orientation experience, choose an orientation date when your major will be represented in order to receive advising in your proposed major. If you are an undeclared first year student, you may attend any session and you will receive advising from professional advisors in the Academic Advising office.

Orientation will be fully online this year. Monitor your email, a few weeks prior your scheduled Orientation session you will receive a link to your specific zoom session.
