Orientation & New Student Programs

What to Expect

Your student's personal and academic well-being is important to all of us. University staff will present a variety of workshops to parents and guests on topics ranging from student safety to life skills needed to survive the first year of college, and more. While your student is meeting other students in their chosen major, you’ll have a choice of attending several different workshops.

Student Life and Success Workshops for Parents

You can elect to attend a variety of workshops. Selections typically include:

  • University Housing
  • The First Year Experience (First-year students only)
  • Career Center
  • Campus Safety-University Police Department
  • Counseling and Wellness
  • Student Life and Leadership

Information Fair

You will have the opportunity to talk with representatives from programs such as Financial Aid, University Housing and Food Service, Student Health Center, Study Abroad, Honors, and more.

Optional Campus Tour

During a walk through our beautiful campus, your guide will answer any questions you have about campus resources, community, and student life.
