Student Rights and Responsibilities

About Us

The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities at Chico State deeply understands the challenges and concerns students may face during their academic journey. We are dedicated to supporting you in addressing any complaints or potential academic or behavioral issues that may arise while ensuring alignment with our Student Code of Conduct.

We strive to handle every situation with fairness and compassion, in line with our Chico State Community Agreements of Respect, Empathy, and Integrity. Our processes are student-centered and transparent, reflecting our commitment to these values. Our goal is to help you learn, grow, and develop as you navigate your education.

Approaching each case with a restorative justice perspective, we emphasize the importance of a trauma-informed approach, fostering a supportive environment for all students. By upholding our Chico State Community Agreements, we aim to create a campus culture where everyone feels valued and understood.
