Student, staff and faculty not living in Chico may apply for carpool parking.
Carpool passes are complementary with proof of having a paid campus parking permit on file. The carpool pass must always be properly displayed in a registered carpool vehicle to park in designated stalls.
Carpool spaces are available 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM. After 5:00 PM, all carpool spaces will be open to the campus community with a valid parking permit.
Location
Stalls are located on the first floor of the parking structure located at the corner of W. 2nd Street and Cherry Street. Access is first-come, first-served.
Carpool Policies
Required: Parking permit (no temporary permits), completed application, mandatory two or more carpool group members, class schedule for all members if students.
Must be currently enrolled or employed at California State University Chico
The carpool pass must be visible along with a parking permit or virtual license plate permit.
Carpool passes are valid only for the current semester in which they are registered under. Carpoolers must reapply every semester to participate in the program.
Spaces are a first-come, first-served basis. If a carpool stall is not available the vehicle must park in a stall appropriate for the type of permit held.
Each carpool group will be assigned one carpool pass. If more than one vehicle is in the group, the pass must be displayed in the vehicle parked, along with a valid parking permit. Vehicles in violation may be cited
