Kristina Carter

Kristina Leser Carter is thrilled to be a part of the Public Health & Health Services Administration since Fall 2012. She has a Master’s in Health and Wellness Program Administration and holds an additional Master’s in Multi-Cultural Education with a single subject teaching credential in Health.  She currently teaches Public Health Administration and does Academic Advising for Public Health. She has spent her twenty-year career advocating for people with various disabilities, both as a Special Educator and as an Administrator and Executive Director in the non-profit sector and Intermediate Care Facilities. Her research and teaching interests include: (1) Leadership and management (2) Alternative healing methods (3) Wellness promotion (4) Chemical and alcohol dependency studies. She serves on two community committees, one of which started and sustains several Children’s Virtue classes in Chico.  In her spare time she enjoys live theatre, fitness and reading, in addition to spending time with her large family.
