Jo Kim

ByeongJo (Jo) Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health and Health Administration at California State University, Chico. ByeongJo received his doctorate in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to obtaining his Ph.D., ByeongJo worked as a staff writer and news reporter at the Yonhap News Agency, South Korea. ByeongJo’s research focuses on three aspects of public management, including the effectiveness of evidence-based decision making in the public sector, the interplay between organizational behavior and social network, and policy implication of work adaptation among cross-cultural migrants such as North Korean refugees. His research is published in leading academic outlets such as the Academy of Management Discoveries and Journal of Applied Behavioral Science. ByeongJo teaches Management Principles (PHHA 330) and Multicultural Health Practice (PHHA 328). Prior to joining California State University, ByeongJo taught graduate-level Evidence-Based Management course and guest lectured Organizational Change and Strategic Human Resource Management at Carnegie Mellon University.
