Jen Murphy is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a passion for helping others reach their optimal health. Jen started as a CHC intern while attending California State University Chico, where she went on to receive her master’s degree in nutrition education. After receiving her RD in 2006, Jen enjoyed a job as a Renal Dietitian in Oroville. At CHC, Jen serves as a Nutrition Education Specialist, a medical nutrition therapist for at-risk children, and a Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator where she helps local health departments and community organizations implement effective SNAP-Ed programming. Jen loves teaching and educating others about the quality of life that comes with living a healthy lifestyle. She is proud to be on a team that supports a 15 county region in Northern California to provide quality trainings to communities and foster stronger local programs by helping build cross-county partnerships. Jen is known around the office for her positive attitude and helpful spirit. At home, Jen is a mother to two daughters, who loves cooking and playing with her girls. She is also learning to play golf and really enjoys A&E period dramas.
