LeeAnn Tippins


LeeAnn Tippins is an alumni of the program. She holds a Bachelor’s in Health Science from Chico State, a Master’s in Public Health from San Jose State and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Ms. Tippins teaches Health Education Techniques.  She is a Health Program Specialist within the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch of the California Department of Public Health, where she provides training and technical assistance to CalFresh Healthy Living Local Implementing Agencies.  She previously served as the Coordination Support Specialist for California’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Program and the California Dialogue on Cancer where she assisted with developing and implementing California’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan. While working in cancer prevention and control, Ms. Tippins developed a passion for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) prevention and vaccination and used her passion to assist with the development of California’s HPV Vaccination Roundtable. Ms. Tippins’ experience also includes developing a CalFresh Outreach Program that focused on increasing access to healthy foods for homeless populations; serving as the Chief Deputy Registrar for Shasta County where she was responsible for the operations of Shasta County Vital Statistics; and providing care for patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Home Health Aide.  In her free time, Ms. Tippins enjoys spending time with her husband and furbabies.
