Danette York


Danette York serves as the Butte County Public Health Director. She has been in this role since July of 2019 and has served as the leader of two other local public health agencies during her 22-year public health career. Danette supports the development of the future public health workforce by teaching part-time. In addition, she serves on the Executive Committee of the statewide public health association, as a Butte County First 5 Commissioner and multiple other countywide committees.

Danette has a Master’s degree in Public Health from The Ohio State University, holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and maintains the Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential through the National Public Health Board of Examiners.
