CLIC (Community Legal Information Clinic)

CLIC provides free legal information to the Chico community as well as surrounding areas. California State University, Chico students help staff CLIC and provide free legal information in the forms of seminars, workshops, and limited representation to clients in administrative law hearings. CJSA (Criminal Justice Student Association)

The Criminal Justice Student Association (CJSA) is an organization for students interested in the field of criminal justice. CJSA organizes activities to help students succeed in their chosen professions. For example, they have hosted workshops, job recruiters, and information sessions regarding how to interview well. They also plan activities that are of interest to members such as prison tours and inviting professionals to talk about their careers. The organization is open to all CSU, Chico students interested in criminal justice, not just criminal justice majors. Model United Nations

Chico State's Model United Nations students have earned an international reputation for excellence during the past few decades. Interested students take POLS 340A in the fall semester and compete at the Northwest Model UN conference in Seattle. The top performers then take POLS 340B in the spring semester and compete at the National Model UN conference in New York City. Pi Sigma Alpha

Chico State is home to the Upsilon Delta chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. Applications can be obtained from the Political Science and Criminal Justice Department office. Pre-Law Society

The Pre-Law Society is a student-run organization devoted to providing prospective law students at CSU, Chico with the opportunity to learn more about law school and the legal profession. The organization accomplishes this goal by hosting a diverse program of workshops, guest speakers, and events. The Pre-Law Society also sponsors and participates in campus events and field trips to area law schools and functions. Members can expect to develop a better understanding of the law school admission process and preparedness for the LSAT. The organization is open to prospective law students from all majors.
