CENTER FOR MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE EDUCATION

The Center for Mathematics and Science Education was recommended for approval by the Provost. I approve establishment of this Center, effective immediately, to be located within the College of Natural Sciences. The primary goals of the Center are

  • To strengthen the science and math understanding of current and future K-14 teachers
  • To develop the pedagogy for science and math programs
  • To promote collaboration among teachers, science and math educators, scientists, and mathematicians
  • To articulate and coordinate with other science and math education reform initiatives, statewide and nationally
