MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR STUDENT OFFICE HOLDERS

As provided in the Chancellor's Office policy, Minimum Academic Qualifications for Student Office Holders (1997), a campus may establish additional requirements. Effective immediately, the following provisions apply to undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students seeking and holding major student government offices.

Incumbent Requirements

Undergraduate students must earn 9 semester units of credit per term while holding office. Undergraduate students must also maintain a minimum accumulative campus GPA of 2.0.

Post-baccalaureate students must earn 6 semester units of credit per term, and be enrolled and making satisfactory progress in a degree program while holding office. Post baccalaureate students must also maintain a post-baccalaureate minimum accumulative campus GPA of 3.0.

Candidate Requirements

Undergraduate candidates must maintain 9 semester units per term and have a minimum campus GPA of 2.0 while running for office.

Post-baccalaureate students must maintain 6 semester units per term, have a minimum accumulative campus GPA of 3.0, and be enrolled and making satisfactory progress in a degree program while running for office.
