Subject: Approval for Minor Changes to Programs in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

PROGRAMS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the programs listed below within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, College of Natural Sciences effective fall 2009.

BS in Mathematics

Course requirements for the major will change from 48-49 units to 49-50 units.

General Option in Mathematics

Course requirement changes will not change the 25 units required for the option.

Option in Applied Mathematics

Course requirement changes will not change the 25 units required for the option.

Option in Mathematics Education

Course requirements changes will change from 24-25 units to 25-26 units for the option.

Option in Statistics

Course requirements changes will change from 24 units to 25 units for the option.

Minor in Mathematics

Course requirement changes will change from 25 units to 24-25 units for the minor.
