PROGRAMS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
BA in English
Course requirement changes will not change the 42-60 units required for the major.
General English Option (New name effective fall 2009: Literature Option)
Course requirement changes will not change the 33 units required for the option.
English Education Option
Course requirement changes will change the units required from 49-50 to 47-51 units for the option
Note: A new Option in English Studies has been approved for fall 2009.
Certificate in Literary Editing and Publishing
Course requirement changes will change the units required from 25 to 26-28 units for the certificate.
Certificate in the Theory and Practice of College Composition (New name effective fall 2009: Certificate in Teaching College-Level Writing)
Course requirement changes will not change the 22-23 units required for the certificate.
