Approval of the BMS in Computer Science

Executive Memorandum 11-034 May 12, 2011

From: Paul J. Zingg, President

Subject: Approval of the BMS in Computer Science

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate, and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve a blended or accelerated five year BMS in Computer Science. The BMS program allows qualified students to earn both a BS and an MS in Computer Science with 150 units over five years. The reporting codes for the BS and MS in Computer Science will not change; however, the degree objective for students enrolled in the BMS in Computer Science will use the digit "9". This program will be effective Fall 2011.
