Subject: Approval of Minor Change to the BS in Nutrition and Food Sciences
Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the BS in Nutrition and Food Sciences. Within the Option in Food and Nutrition Communication, the Child Nutrition Area of Study and the Senior Nutrition Area of Study are being combined into the Lifecycle Nutrition Area of Study for greater flexibility in course scheduling to better meet the needs of the students. Within the Option in Food service Administration, NFSC 432 is being deleted. This deletion will reduce the number of required courses from 8 to 7. To offset this reduction, the number of elective courses will increase from 3 to 4. The number of units for the major will remain the same. This change will be effective Fall 2013.
