Approval of a Minor Change to the BS in Computer Science

Executive Memorandum 13-025 March 15, 2013

From: Paul J. Zingg, President

Subject: Approval of a Minor Change to the BS in Computer Science

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the BS in Computer Science. This change reduces the number of units for the degree from 128 to 120. The unit reduction was accomplished by reducing the number of elective units from 7 to 5, which decreased the number of major units by 2. The remaining 6 units will be covered through General Education substitutions. CSCI 217 was approved as a substitution for A3 Critical Thinking, and CSCI 301 was approved as a substitution for UD-D, Upper Division Social Sciences. This change will be effective Fall 2013.
