Subject: Approval of a Minor Change to the Minor in Latin American Studies
Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the Minor in Latin American Studies. This change reduces the number of elective units from 18 to 15 and changes the language requirement from 0-12 units required to 1-3 courses required. Other changes to the program include adding PORT 101A and PORT 102A to the list of language courses and removing courses from the program that have not been offered in five years. The units for the minor will change from 21-30 to 22-30. This change will be effective Fall 2013.
