Executive Memorandum 13-049 May 8, 2013

From: Paul J. Zingg, President

Subject: Approval of a Minor Change to the BS in Mathematics

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the BS in Mathematics. This change updates the curriculum by removing courses not offered in the last five years. Also the number of required Mathematics courses will reduce from 8 to 7 in both the Option in Mathematics Education and the Option in Mathematics Education – Credential Path. In both options, an elective list will be added where the student will select units from MATH 195 and MATH 241. The units for the Option in Mathematics Education will change from 25-26 to 25-27. The units for the Option in Mathematics Education – Credential Path will change from 73-75 to 74-76. The units for the major will change from 49-50 to 49-52. This change will be effective Fall 2013.
