Subject: Approval of Significant Change to the Honors in General Education Program
Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve a significant change to the Honors in General Education (GE) program. The Honors in GE program was redesigned to make the program compatible with the redesigned GE Pathways program that went into effect Fall 2012. The number of lower division units required for the program will reduce from 18 to 12, and the number of upper division units required will increase from 9 to 12. The overall units for the program will reduce from 27 to 24 units. This change will be effective Fall 2013.
