Subject: Approval of a Minor Change to the Option in Geology within the BA in Natural Sciences
Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the Option in Geology within the BA in Natural Sciences. This change updates the curriculum to provide greater flexibility for the student. Prior to the change, the option requirements consisted of 3 required courses and the choice of one course from a list of electives. These two requirements will combine and the student will choose 4 courses from one list of electives. GEOS 355 was added to this list of electives as well. The number of units for the option will change from 12-13 to 11-13. This change will be effective Fall 2014.
